The primary role of maintenance planner is to improve the strength of productivity and quality of work by eliminating, in advance, potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of resources (parts, machine time, man hours, etc.).

The planner / programmer is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work done in the area to which it is attached.
